Microsoft provides a Smart Copy function in Microsoft Edge Canary
At the beginning of the year, Microsoft announced the road map of the Microsoft Edge browser. In the road map, Microsoft mentioned that it would provide a key new feature called “Smart Copy”.
Normally, when we copy the form on the webpage and paste it in other places, the layout will be lost. Because of the unsupported reason, the paste only has text content.
To help users paste data better, the Smart Copy function will retain all tabs when copying, so the original chart format will be retained when pasting.
At present, this feature has arrived in the Microsoft Edge Canary, and users who use the Canary version can currently experience this feature.
The Smart Copy function makes it easier to select, copy, and paste the exact content you need from the document while retaining rich document formats.
You can use the cursor to select content and select any area or data of any content. When pasting, it will retain all formats including images and hyperlinks.
What needs to be reminded is that to use this function, please do not directly select and paste. When you need to perform a Smart Copy, first click the Smart Copy function of the right button and then select the content.
After selecting, you can use shortcut keys such as Ctrl+V to paste directly, and most supported software can paste content, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
