Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 Released: JIT and NGEN Improvements, Updated ZLib, more

On April 18, 2019, Microsoft released the final version of Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8, which has both a web installer and an offline installer. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 is a new version of Microsoft’s popular framework that includes many new features, bug fixes, and improvements.

The .NET Framework 4.8 is available for Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10, as well as all Windows Server server platforms starting with Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1. Windows 10 1903 already includes the .NET Framework 4.8 and does not need to be installed separately.
