Microsoft continues to reissue the Microsoft Update Health Tools (KB4023057)

Currently, Microsoft is pushing a Microsoft Update Health Tools numbered KB4023057 to some users. This tool was previously known as a service channel update.

Under normal circumstances, Microsoft will push this update before the major version is released. In another case, Microsoft will also push the KB4023057 update when certain system versions stop supporting. The purpose of the installation is to collect system conditions and perform mandatory upgrades when necessary.

The current release of Windows 10 2021 spring update is very close, so Microsoft’s re-push this update should be ready for the new version.

The KB4023057 update is not a new non-security update. This update has been pushed many times before. Of course, the update will continue to be pushed repeatedly in the future.

After the update is installed, it will automatically detect the network connection and automatically reset the network when a failure is detected. Check the registry and reset the registry entries that may prevent the Windows 10 update.

Simply put, Microsoft uses this update to solve the problem that the system may prevent the update. Normally, this is to prepare in advance for the release of the new version.

Different from the previous service channel update, Microsoft also has multiple programs in this update. The program is the so-called Microsoft Update Health Tools.

This is not a new software developed by Microsoft. In fact, Microsoft released the tool last year, but it was later canceled by Microsoft but the reason is not clear.

This tool is the same as the service channel update to solve various update problems of the system. It does not matter whether the user installs this update or not.

What’s interesting is that the Microsoft Update Health Tools released by Microsoft has not been properly signed. As a result, Microsoft Defender directly intercepted it as malware. After the user gave feedback, Microsoft re-signed and re-posted it to the user.
