Microsoft confirms it won’t be participating in E3 2023 event this year
After Nintendo confirmed that it would not participate in this year’s E3 2023 physical exhibition activities, Microsoft also confirmed that it would only participate in digital form, rather than in physical form.
Microsoft stated that it will host an online event called “E3 2023 Digital Week” during the E3 2023 exhibition period, starting from June 11, in order to attract more attention from players.
According to Nintendo’s previous statement, it is currently considering different ways to interact with fans, and this year’s E3 exhibition activity does not fit its own exhibition planning goals. Therefore, it has decided not to participate in this exhibition. As for Sony, it has not yet confirmed whether it will participate in this year’s E3 2023 event, or only focus on its own events.
Currently, in the planning of the Entertainment Software Association in the United States, in addition to the main organizer ReedPop’s confirmed plan to hold PAX game exhibition activities, the E3 exhibition activity scheduled for next year will be extended to four days and the last two days will be open to general players for visitation, while certain exhibition areas will still only be open to game industry insiders, media and analysts.
