Microsoft brings Document Headings and Navigation features to Word app for Android & iOS
Microsoft has recently updated the Word app for Android and iOS versions. This update Microsoft brings very useful new features to help users better read documents.
Under normal circumstances, we may set headings according to paragraphs in documents, but not all documents will set headings, which is not convenient for us to quickly jump.
Especially for very long documents, it may be troublesome to browse word by word, so Microsoft uses intelligent algorithms to automatically extract paragraph headings this time.
Even if the document does not have a paragraph heading, it does not matter. The algorithm will identify the most likely heading and the user can jump through the directory jump function.
After upgrading the new version, the user will see the automatically pop-up directory when opening the document, and the user can click the corresponding directory headings to jump to the corresponding document location.
Of course, if possible, it is best for users to write paragraph headings when writing documents, so it is actually more convenient to jump through the table of contents headings.
If the document does not have document headings, Microsoft will create it according to the algorithm itself. Sometimes it may extract a sentence or the first line of text as the paragraph title.
To enable this function, please open the document and click the menu button in the upper right corner, and then click the document headings option, and the document headings will be automatically created.
Currently, both Android and iOS versions of Word have provided this function. Users need to go to the app store to upgrade to the latest version of Word before they can use this function.
