Microsoft announces Outlook for Mac
Microsoft has recently released a redesigned version of Outlook for Mac. Normally, whether it is a new version or not, using the Outlook email client on a Mac requires purchasing a license, such as the Office 2021 perpetual license or a Microsoft 365 subscription that includes an Outlook license. However, Microsoft has announced that Outlook for Mac is now completely free. Although the Mac App Store still shows in-app purchases, they are optional, and interested users can subscribe to Microsoft 365.
Microsoft claims that Outlook for Mac complements Outlook for iOS, providing a consistent, reliable, and powerful experience, allowing users to easily add Outlook.com, Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo!, or other email providers that support the IMAP protocol from anywhere. Additionally, Outlook offers features such as secure login and identity protection, calendar, and contact synchronization. Interested users can download Outlook for Mac here.
Currently, the new version of Outlook for Windows is still in the preview stage. Interested users can download Outlook for Windows Pre-version from the Microsoft Store by clicking here.
