MediaTek releases mid-range 5G processor Dimensity 820, supporting 120Hz screen refresh rate

MediaTek released its first batch of 5G flagship mobile phone processor Dimensity 1000 in November last year. From the perspective of parameters, the performance and technical compatibility of this processor are very strong, and then MediaTek launched an upgraded version of Dimensity 1000, Dimensity 1000+. This processor was confirmed to be launched by vivo sub-brand iQOO.

Today, MediaTek held an online conference and officially released the new 5G mid-range processor Dimensity 820. The following will introduce the parameter information of this processor in detail. Xiaomi has confirmed that Redmi 10X will be the world’s first launch of Dimensity 820.

Dimensity 820 is made by a 7nm process, using flagship multi-core architecture, with A76 cores and A55 cores; GPU is equipped with Mali G57 MC5, performance is remarkable.

In terms of network support, Dimensity 820 supports 5G Multi-Mode. It also supports NSA/SA dual-module networks and provides MediaTek 5G UltraSave Network Detection and MediaTek 5G UltraSave Content Detection. It supports WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1.

In terms of imaging, Dimensity 820 supports up to 80 million pixels, supports 4K HDR video shooting, and supports up to 32MP + 16MP @ 30 fps high-resolution cameras for fast and accurate Portrait pictures.

In terms of AI, Dimensity 820 is equipped with an independent AI processor, adopts the flagship APU 3.0 architecture, and provides exclusive multi-task scheduling technical support.

In terms of image display, Dimensity 820 adopts MediaTek MiraVision image quality engine, supports up to 120Hz refresh rate, supports HDR 10+, and supports FHD + 2520×1080 resolution.

In terms of memory, Dimensity 820 supports up to 16GB LPDDR4X memory.
