MediaTek launched the Dimensity 1050, Dimensity 930 and Helio G99 processor

During this Computex 2022, MediaTek announced the launch of three mobile processors, the Dimensity 1050, the Dimensity 930, and the Helio G99, to meet the design and use needs of 5G and 4G connected devices.

The Dimensity 1050 processor launched this time will correspond to the frequency band below 6GHz and the millimeter-wave frequency band at the same time. It has become MediaTek’s first processor product that supports full 5G network connectivity at the same time and is expected to be launched with application devices in the third quarter of this year.

It is built on TSMC’s 6nm process, using two sets of Arm Cortex-A78 CPUs with an operating clock of 2.5GHz, and six sets of Cortex-A55 CPUs to form a “2+6” core architecture. GPU is Mali-G610. The 5G connection capability not only supports the frequency band below 6GHz and millimeter-wave at the same time but also supports 3CC three-carrier aggregation technology in the frequency band below 6GHz (FR1). In the millimeter-wave (FR2) frequency band, it supports 4CC four-carrier aggregation technology, which corresponds to a higher 5G network connection rate.

The antenna part corresponds to the Wi-Fi 6E 2×2 MIMO specification, supports 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz connection capabilities in three frequency bands, and is equipped with the HyperEngine 5.0 game engine which improves the screen refresh rate and battery life performance during games, and also support LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash memory, which corresponds to faster data loading speed.

In conjunction with the Dimensity 1050, MediaTek also announced the launch of the new Dimensity 930 processor, which itself only supports the connection capability of frequency bands below 6GHz, supports 2CC dual-carrier aggregation and FDD+TDD hybrid connection mode, supports Full HD+ resolution, and 120Hz frame refresh rate display specification design. It was equipped with MiraVision mobile display technology and HyperEngine 3.0 Lite game engine, to improve the experience of video and game use on the device side. At the same time, it can extend the battery life of the device. As for the device using this processor, it will be launched in the second quarter of this year.

In addition, the Helio G99 processor was launched to meet the needs of the existing 4G network market. Claimed to correspond to a faster, power-saving user experience, devices equipped with this processor are expected to enter the market in the third quarter of this year.
