List of Z690 motherboards of major motherboard manufacturers leaked

At Intel’s upcoming Alder Lake-S processor conference, in addition to the 12th-generation Core series processors with the “K” and “KF” suffixes, there will also be a supporting Z690 chipset. In addition to supporting the new LGA 1700 socket, the Z690 chipset will also provide 28 PCIe channels, including 12 PCIe Gen4 channels and 16 PCIe Gen3 channels. The DMI bus is also upgraded from DMI 3.0 x8 of the Z590 chipset to DMI 4.0 x8. Technology upgrades make the Z690 chipset larger than the Z590 chipset, the chip is rectangular, but the heat does not seem to be large.

Previously, Z690 motherboard information from many motherboard manufacturers has been reported, including official notices and information leaks, involving brands such as Asus, MSI, and ASRock. Recently, Twitter user @momomo_us has listed the Z690 motherboard list of major motherboard manufacturers, involving nearly 100 Z690 motherboards.
Asus, the largest motherboard manufacturer, has the most models. There will be at least 30 Z690 motherboards with different specifications and models, including models with DDR4 or DD5 memory, and whether with Wi-Fi modules. Generally, the high-end models mainly use DDR5 memory, and the models that use DDR4 memory are mainly positioned in the low-end Z690 motherboard. At least half of the Z690 motherboards of the manufacturers use DDR5 memory, except ASRock. There are more models using DDR4 memory than DDR5. There is not much detailed information on the configuration of these motherboards on the list, but the top three motherboard manufacturers seem to have models that use water cooling.

This list does not mean that motherboard manufacturers only have these Z690 motherboards. There may be some models that are still under development and will be launched later.
