Konami to launch Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater

Recently, at Sony’s PlayStation Showcase 2023, Konami announced their intentions to launch a full remake of ‘Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater’, to be titled ‘Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater’. The game is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam, with confirmation that production is currently underway.

During the announcement, the officials suggested that ‘Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater’ might witness some changes, yet, in terms of gameplay, they intend to remain faithful to the original. Some players expressed concern about potential modifications in the narrative, considering that the game reveals Snake’s origin story. They wondered whether Konami would adapt certain plot aspects to contemporary times, thus altering the trajectory of the story.

However, the officials subsequently assured that Snake’s storyline and voice acting in ‘Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater’ would mirror the original, enhanced by superior graphics and sound effects, thereby assuaging player apprehensions. Thus, players can look forward to an upgrade in visual effects, expanded gameplay, and the addition of new elements in ‘Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater’, without fretting over alterations in the plot’s structure or direction.

Prior to this, Konami also plans to release ‘Metal Gear Solid Δ: Master Collection Vol.1’, featuring the original ‘Metal Gear Solid’, ‘Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty’, and ‘Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater’. This bundle is scheduled for a fall 2023 launch on PlayStation 5, allowing players to revisit these classics.
