iPhone 14 may use same chip as iPhone 13

In last week’s spring conference, Apple’s third-generation iPhone SE, which is an entry-level model, has already used the A15 Bionic, which is the same as the iPhone 13. Apple also seems to be quite confident in the performance of their Apple Silicon chip and can lead the industry in another year. Recently, some analysts believe that Apple’s iPhone 14 series launched in the second half of this year may continue to carry the A15 Bionic, while only the iPhone 14 Pro series will be upgraded to the next-generation A16 Bionic.
iOS 15.4

This statement comes from analyst Ming-chi KUO, a longtime acquaintance of Apple products. He recently stated on social networking sites that only two Pro series models will be upgraded to A16 Bionic this year. The iPhone 14 and the newly added iPhone 14 Max will continue to have the A15 Bionic chip. iPhone 14 Max will be a 6.7-inch screen.

It is not very surprising that Apple has slowed down the pace of chip replacement for mainstream iPhones. In fact, in the past two years, the performance improvement of Apple’s A-series chips has become smaller and smaller. Even the A14 two years ago is considered a fast performance in the current mobile phone market. Therefore, Apple also has reasons not to upgrade the chip for the new phone, and it may also be because the difference between the current iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 Pro is too small. Apple hopes to widen the two levels of iPhones through the gap in chip performance.
