iPad Air 5 is expected to be released in March or April this year

Apple’s tablet product line is very rich, including four series of iPad Mini, iPad, iPad Air, and iPad Pro. Among them, the iPad Air series focuses on lightness, portability, and high performance. The latest iPad Air 4 of this series was released in September 2020. It is time for Apple to update the iPad Air series. Recently, there have been media reports that Apple is preparing for a new generation of iPad Air, and is expected to release the new iPad Air 5 this spring.

As for the upgrade of the new iPad Air 5, it is reported that the tablet device will be equipped with an A15 processor, which has a 50% increase in performance compared to the A14 and supports 5G cellular networks. It will also be equipped with a 12-megapixel front-facing ultra-wide-angle camera, which will support the Center Stage function, but its image configuration will also be a single-camera design. The camera, form factor, screen, and other configurations are expected to remain the same as the previous generation iPad Air 4. And the memory capacity is expected to increase to 128GB.

As a product released by Apple in the second half of 2020, the iPad Air 4 adopts a tough design style with straight edges and rounded corners. The material is aluminum, and the screen is a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display that supports Touch ID touch for fingerprint recognition.

In terms of price, under normal circumstances, Apple will not increase the price. The current price of the iPad Air 4 is $599, and it is believed that the iPad Air 5 will be about the same price. The media said that this new product may be unveiled at Apple’s spring conference with a new generation of small-screen iPhones, the iPhone SE3, which will be released in March or April 2022.
