Intel Xeon W7-2495X appears on Geekbench 5

According to previous reports, Intel has confirmed that the Sapphire Rapids HEDT/workstation processor and the corresponding Fishhawk Falls platform will be released on February 15 this year, and will also bring Xeon W-3400 series and Xeon W-2400 series processors and W790 chipset. Recently, the GeekBench 5 score of the Intel Xeon W7-2495X processor has been leaked.

The GeekBench 5 single-core score of the Intel Xeon W7-2495X processor is 1497, and the multi-core score is 24658. For reference, the Core i9-13900K single-core score is about 2100 points, and the multi-core score is about 25000 points. During the test, the boost clock of W7-2495X is 4.6GHz. In contrast, the Xeon W7-2495X single-core score is about 28% behind the Core i9-13900K. Multi-core score is basically the same.

According to the previously disclosed information, the Xeon W-2000 series is equipped with up to 24 cores and supports up to 64 PCIe channels and four-channel DDR5 memory. The Xeon W7-2495X is the most high-end model in the Xeon W7-2000 series. It has 24 cores and 48 threads, the architecture is Golden Cove, manufactured using a 10nm Enhanced SuperFin process, the base clock is 2.5GHz, the boost clock is 4.8GHz, the L3 cache is 45MB, and the TDP is 225W.

The P-Core single-core boost clock of the Core i9-13900K can reach 5.8GHz, using the latest Raptor Cove architecture. Compared with the W7-2495X’s boost clock of 4.6GHz in the test, the clock difference between the two is 20%.

The difference in the single-core performance of the two processors is mainly due to the difference in the clock.
