Intel updates Arc graphics driver: support Arc A730M

Recently, Intel released the graphics driver, which is suitable for the integrated graphics (Alder Lake-H and Alder Lake-P) and Arc graphics (Alchemist) of the 12th generation Core mobile processors, and optimized for running Sniper Elite 5 on Arc A350M / A370M discrete graphics cards.

With the recent launch of laptops equipped with Arc A730M discrete graphics, Intel has released a new version of the graphics driver, adding support for Arc A730M. It’s unclear why Intel didn’t release a new version of the graphics driver but instead updated the content of the existing version. Also, the Arc A550M/A770M, which will be available next, is still not supported.

Arc A730M belongs to the high-positioned model of the Intel Arc graphics card. It is the first product equipped with the ACM-G10 chip. It is manufactured using a 6nm process and has 24 Xe cores based on the Xe-HPG architecture. It is equipped with 12GB of GDDR6 memory and has a bit width of 192 bits. In the 3DMark Time Spy benchmark, the Arc A730M even outperformed the GeForce RTX 3070-equipped mobile GPU. The performance in the actual game is so satisfactory, and it needs to be further optimized by Intel.
