Intel releases new graphics card driver to solve Windows 10 compatibility issues

Microsoft has already started to push the official version of Windows 10 Version 1809, but it may not be updated properly if using Intel graphics. Because Microsoft telemetry data shows compatibility issues with Intel graphics drivers, Microsoft has adjusted its strategy in the cloud to ignore devices that use the graphics card.

In response to this problem, Intel has released a new version of the graphics card driver for compatibility; users must update the driver for the latest version of Windows 10.

According to a statement issued on the official Microsoft support page, installing a new version of Windows 10 with an older Intel graphics driver will significantly increase power consumption.

At the same time, the process of the graphics card driver will take up a lot of processor resources and cause the system to be stuck. Given this, Microsoft directly prohibits the upgrading of such devices.

Even if the upgrade assistant performs the update, the compatibility check step will be blocked. As a countermeasure, the user must upgrade to the latest graphics driver.
