Intel 13th-generation Core processors appear

Intel’s entire Alder Lake lineup is getting better with the release of a series of 12th Gen Core processors at CES 2022. In the face of AMD’s pressing step by step, Intel will not relax its vigilance. AMD will release a new generation of Zen 4 architecture processors and a new AM5 platform in the second half of this year, which will also support PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 memory, while Intel will launch Raptor Lake.

According to Coelacanth-dream, Intel Raptor Lake-S Bootlog shows that the processor in the engineering sample stage has 24 cores and 32 threads, running at 1.8GHz. It is speculated to be the next-generation flagship Core i9-13900K, which will be configured with 8 Performance Cores and 16 Efficient Cores. It has been reported before that the P-Core will change from the Golden Cove architecture to the Raptor Cove architecture, while the E-Core will continue to use the Gracemont architecture.

Alder Lake does not officially support the AVX-512 instruction set. As previously reported by hardwareLuxx, Intel provides new microcode to manufacturers to completely disable the AVX-512 instruction set. Since Raptor Lake is an optimized product of Alder Lake, it is also shown in the Bootlog that the AVX-512 instruction set is not supported.
