The Intel 12th generation of Core Alder Lake processors and their return to the graphics card market will be the focus of Intel’s recent work. Core Alder Lake processors will be released at the end of next month. ARC graphics cards will be released in the first quarter of next year, and the most likely time will be CES next year. The details of the architecture of the ARC graphics card were actually announced at the previous architecture day event, but Intel did not mention the specific products of Xe-HPG.

Moore’s Law Is Dead revealed the product details of the Intel ARC graphics card in a recent video. The first GPU codenamed Alchemist will include three graphics cards, including 512EU and 128EU GPUs.
Consistent with previous news, Xe-HPG 512EU will be their flagship product, using TSMC’s 6nm process, with 4096 cores, 256bit video memory width, and GPU Die Size is expected to be 396mm2, while the size of NVIDIA GA104 is 392mm2, the two GPUs are basically the same size, while AMD Navi 22 is 336mm2.
The flagship graphics card will use a complete Xe-HPG 512EU core and match 16GB GDDR6 video memory, the memory frequency is 16Gbps, but does not rule out the possibility of using 18Gbps video memory, GPU frequency is about 2.2GHz to 2.5GHz. However, it is not clear whether this is the average frequency or the maximum acceleration frequency. The 8+6pin power supply interface is adopted. The power consumption of the whole card is within 235W, and the performance is between RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti.
The mid-range graphics card is streamlined with the flagship GPU. It has 384 sets of UEs, which is 3072 cores, and is equipped with 192bit/12GB GDDR6 memory, but it may also be adjusted to 256bit/8GB GDDR6 depending on the situation. The power consumption of the whole card is 200W, and the performance is expected to be between RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti. In addition, there are 448 groups of EU and 256 groups of EU variants, but these may be the mobile version of the graphics card, temporarily irrelevant to the desktop market
The entry-level Xe-HPG 128EU GPU, with only 1024 cores, is equipped with 64bit/8GB GDDR6 video memory, and the GPU frequency is 2.2-2.5GHz. The power consumption is not higher than 75W, and the performance is roughly equal to GTX 1650 or GTX 1650 Super, but support
ray-tracing, the price of this graphics card is expected to be less than 250 US dollars, currently, NVIDIA and AMD do not pay much attention to this market.
