iCloud service supports users to transfer photos to Google Photos
Apple has launched a new service that can help users transfer pictures and videos from iCloud to Google Photos. Users can now log on to Apple’s privacy website, check the “Transfer a copy of your data” option, and then select the content to be transferred. The functions Apple launched this time can be said to be very practical.
The user visits Apple‘s privacy website and logs in to see the “Request to transfer a copy of your data” option. If you select this option and perform all steps, Apple will transfer the user’s iCloud photos and videos to Google Photos.
Transferring photos and videos from iCloud Photos will not delete the content stored by the user in the Apple system. The transfer process will take three to seven days, and Apple will verify whether the user has made a request. During the period, Apple will verify whether the request is made by the user himself. In addition, users also need to open two-factor authentication for Apple accounts and have a Google Photos account with sufficient storage space. Currently, smart albums, real-time photos, photo stream content, some metadata, and some RAW photos cannot be transferred yet.
