Google pushes Android 13 official version

Nowadays, the operating system of smartphones has become too mature to add many new functions, and even UI improvement has slowed down. The native Android system, which is too popular, is even more difficult to surprise, so unlike other companies that need to hold a press conference, Google quietly launched the official version of Android 13.

Although the functional improvements of the new generation system are small, the number of improvements is considerable. Google listed 13 major improvements on its official blog, most of which are related to security and privacy protection, multi-device collaboration, and user personalization settings. This new system also upgrades the Material You design that Android 12 started to adopt, and now it can better match the system theme color to third-party apps.

In addition, for some multi-language users, it is now possible to set different languages for different apps, which is still very practical. If you still have supported headphones, it will support the Spatial Audio function, which has been promoted by Apple for a long time. Other small features include support for Bluetooth low-energy audio, automatic clearing of sensitive information from the clipboard, and so on.
Since Google did not make an iPadOS like Apple, Android 13 also added some new improvements for tablets, including cross-device copy and paste, split-screen multitasking, and stylus anti-mistouch. There was also an Android 12L optimized for folding screens. I don’t know if 13 will continue to be updated this time.

Finally, Google’s own Pixel series is the first device to get the Android 13 official version. Samsung Galaxy, OnePlus, Oppo, Xiaomi, and other third-party manufacturers will be received the Android 13 version later this year.
