Google Play Store with new UI is rolling out to users

Google has been using its new design elements and visuals to decorate its official Android app, and it’s time for the Play Store itself to look like a new look! A Reddit user rodrigoswz found the new design is being rolled out in Play Store version 15.1.24. However, it should be noted that after obtaining this version, there is no guarantee that the new look will be displayed immediately, but you only need to try to clear the Play Store’s cache, then force the app to stop running, and you will see the new look immediately the next time you open it.

The Google Play look and feel is the same as we’ve seen in many other Google apps in recent months. The navigation that was previously made up of two sets of labels at the top now takes a more similar approach to the YouTube or Google Phone app. At the bottom of the screen, you can find the classified portals for apps, games, movies, and books, while the top still contains categories such as For You, Top Charts. In terms of operation, users can no longer slide between the top categories, so if you want to change the label, you must touch the top of the screen.

It’s important to note that Play’s look and feel update does not include support for the dark mode that is common in many other applications. Since dark mode will be a feature of system level support in Android Q, it is hoped that this will be resolved when it is released. You can download Google Play Store 15.1.24 from APK Mirror.
