GIMP 2.9.8 release, open source image editor


GIMP 2.9.8 released, GIMP is a cross-platform image editor for GNU/Linux, OS X, Windows and more operating systems.

This new development version contains some big changes. The biggest change in this version is to support experimental multithreading (which means that applications can now make better use of multi-core processors)

Finally, GIMP 2.9.8 has improved the Wavelet Decompose filter, improved PSD plug-in for proper handling of Photoshop files with deep encapsulation layer groups, increased the ability to import HGT files in SRTM-1 and SRTM-3 types, and Updated thirteen language translations.
