Fractal Design confirms problem with Lumen series AIO

Fractal Design released the Lumen series of integrated water cooling radiators last year, which are available in 240mm, 280mm, and 360mm sizes, and also provide an ARGB fan version and a non-RGB fan version.
Fractal Design recently issued an announcement saying that some users reported that the CPU temperature soared when using the Lumen series integrated water cooling radiator, and then launched an investigation to determine the cause and found a potential problem. The findings suggest that soldering materials in aluminum heatsinks and impurities introduced during manufacturing may react with the chemical composition of the coolant, and over time deposits from the coolant may build up at the CPU water block. As a result, the blockage causes the CPU temperature to rise.

Users who have not encountered such problems can continue to use them, but Fractal Design has decided to remove the Lumen series integrated water cooling radiators worldwide until they fully meet the quality standards. To completely address the issues, the team at Fractal Design is developing a new version that includes a new radiator and a new liquid formula and is also produced according to revised process and assembly guidelines. According to the schedule, replacements for the existing Lumen series of water cooling radiators will be dispatched in approximately 6 weeks, reaching the warehouses of distributors and dealers.

If users are affected, they can go to Fractal Design’s official website to fill in the application form to replace the product, which requires finding the serial number of the product, and the replacement product will be sent after the official confirmation. After user registration, Fractal Design will continue to provide updates, schedules, and more by email.
