Firefox plans to launch a “One-Click Search Engines” feature

Firefox recently introduced a new test feature for some regions –  One-Click Search Engines. In the new tab of the browser, click on the shortcut of each search engine, enter the keyword in the address bar to jump directly to the search results page of the corresponding engine.

For example, by clicking on “@amazon” and entering a keyword, you can jump to the search results page for that word in Amazon without first opening the Amazon homepage and then searching.

Shortcuts can be managed directly from the new tabs and can be added or removed as needed. To delete the default search shortcut, just click on the dot icon and select Unpin.

This feature has not yet determined when to extend to browser versions in all regions; Firefox hopes to analyse the user’s preferences and usage through analysis, and then determine the direction of subsequent improvements.
