Firefox Focus 9.0 will add native ad blocking components

Previously, Firefox developed the Firefox Focus browser for Android and Apple devices, which has automatic privacy protection to block various traces. Simply put, the Firefox Focus browser is like a normal version of Firefox. The privacy window is always open and the browser does not retain any user data. In order to achieve this ultimate privacy protection, Firefox Focus has built-in tracking protection, but online advertising on some websites will be completely blocked.

According to a new Mozilla bug ticket, Firefox Focus 9.0 will add native ad blocking components. Firefox Focus 9.0 is scheduled to be released on February 12th 2019.

In fact, it is expected that the content of the advertisement is blocked by the Firefox Focus browser, because the browser will destroy the content of the advertisement when it intercepts the tracking script. The Mozilla said that Firefox Focus is focused on intercepting trackers, and although the ads have not been blocked, the tracker scripts included in the ads are automatically blocked.

In order to protect the interests of publishers, the Mozilla will also add a native ad blocking component to the new version of Firefox Focus, which can be set separately.
