Firefox 74 releases: drop support for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1

For Windows, macOS, and GNU/Linux platforms, Mozilla has just released an update for Firefox 74 today. Currently, users can visit the Mozilla official server to download. However, the update log has not yet been released, but it can be confirmed that it is the first Firefox browser version to prohibit access to HTTPS websites using TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1.

More specifically, this means that if you update to Firefox 74 and try to load a site that still uses TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1, you get the error message “Secure connection failed” when the page loads. TLS 1. 0 and TLS 1.1 are older protocols released in 1996 and 2006, respectively, using weak encryption algorithms. New versions of the protocol were released in 2008 and 2017, respectively. They are divided into TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3, which is undoubtedly better than the old version and more secure to use.
