Security company ESET has recently launched Endpoint Antivirus, antivirus software for Linux platforms, thus completing the coverage of the three major platforms of Windows, macOS, and Linux.
ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Linux comes with typical anti-virus features, including real-time protection and multiple scanning modes, as well as tools designed for enterprises that are fully compatible with ESET Security Management Center and ESET Cloud Administrator. The app can be installed and managed remotely on Windows and Linux platforms via ESET Security Management Center.
ESET believes that single-layer defense is not enough for the increasingly severe security threat situation. Security software is no longer limited to one part but instead focuses on the entire life cycle of the malware-pre-execution, execution, and post-execution. More importantly, the malware is no longer only attacking the Windows platform, so they launched anti-virus software for macOS and Linux platforms.
