Epic Games may face Apple’s ban for several years
Epic, the developer of the popular mobile game “Fortnite”, won a small victory in a series of lawsuits with Apple a while ago. At that time, some people thought that Fortnite might be able to return to the App Store soon, but now it seems that the see-saw between the two sides will continue for a long time. Because Apple recently banned Fortnite from returning to the App Store before this series of lawsuits have a final result.
If anyone still doesn’t know why Epic and Apple are fighting, Epic added an in-app purchase option to its popular mobile game “Fortnite” in August last year, so players can get discounts if they choose this method to purchase game items. Apple has always banned apps from adding in-app purchases, so it immediately removed Fortnite from the App Store. Epic immediately sued Apple for anti-competition and monopoly and started a lawsuit that has been in this field for more than a year.
Late last night, Apple informed Epic that Fortnite will be blacklisted from the Apple ecosystem until the exhaustion of all court appeals, which could be as long as a 5-year process. pic.twitter.com/QCD7wogJef

However, although Epic won a small battle not long ago, Apple obviously did not stop there. A week later, Apple was told to Epic that Fortnite would not be possible to appear in Apple Apple Store until all these large and small lawsuits were concluded. At the same time, Epic’s CEO Tim Sweeney also confirmed that Epic’s developer account is still on the blacklist.
