Drupal is an open source content management system (CMS) platform, which is written in PHP. The first RC version of Drupal 8.4.0 has been released and the official version is expected to be released on October 4.
8.4.x includes new stable modules for storing date and time ranges, inline display form errors, and management workflows. It also includes new stable API modules for discovering layout definitions and media management.
Media API module core new features, all other new stable modules were previously experimental. The release also includes several important fixes for content version data integrity, orphan file management, and configuration data sorting.
