DeepCool announced that it will provide Intel’s upcoming LGA 1700 platform with a new buckle, allowing users to continue to use the 12th-generation Core series processor (Alder Lake-S). In addition, DeepCool will also update current and future radiators and provide new fasteners to support Intel’s new platform.
The length of the new LGA 1700 socket is increased to 45mm while retaining the width of 37.5mm, changing from a square to a rectangle, and its Z height will be reduced from 7.3mm to 6.5mm and will add 500 contacts than the current LGA 1200 socket. Since most of the CPU coolers on the market are not compatible with the LGA 1700 platform at this stage, DeepCool provides this upgrade kit. The kit includes a new backplane and a new bracket, as well as other accessories required for installation, and some models of fasteners will be given away for free.
If users want to get free installation fasteners, they can contact DeepCool technical support and provide proof of purchase for the LGA 1700 processor or LGA 1700 motherboard to book. Depending on the region, freight may be incurred. DeepCool said that in the coming year, both new and existing DeepCool products will be equipped with fasteners suitable for LGA 1700 sockets.
DeepCool provides compatible radiator models that support the LGA 1700 platform. For other models, please consult DeepCool Customer Support or local suppliers. The list is as follows
