The Debian 10 development uses Wayland by default

Debian 10 “Buster” development work is ongoing, has now released the Alpha version, the official version of the plan released in 2019.

In the latest Debian 10 update, Debian replaces X11 with Wayland. But has always been conservative Debian, will continue to provide X11 as an alternative.

The X Window system began in 1984 and presented the current X11 in 1987. As many people think, X11 is out of date. More and more Linux distributions are turning to flexibility and better performance Wayland, such as Ubuntu and Fedora.
