ASUS will launch a variety of new ROG THOR series power supplies

ASUS is expanding its ROG THOR series power supply product line, the new flagship ROG THOR Titanium 1600W and three ROG THOR II Platinum (850W, 1000W, and 1200W) series power supplies will be launched, and equipped with a new PCIe 5.0 external power supply interface to replace the existing 8Pin and 6Pin external power supply interface. Its design is more compact, with a maximum power of 600W, and it is said that Nvidia’s next-generation flagship graphics card will be the first to be used.

In the special event of the Intel Z690 motherboard held by ASUS, this series of new power supplies was introduced and it was confirmed that it would be compatible with the next-generation GPU. These high-power power supplies are for high-performance PCs and are used in hosts built with new high-end CPUs and GPUs. It is said that in these ROG THOR series power supplies, a new PCIe 5.0 external power supply interface connection wire will be provided.

Asus stated that ROG THOR Titanium 1600W will be the new peak of its power supply products. It is the first Asus’s first power supply that strictly meets the Titanium certification, with the iconic ROG style. Through the use of digital control design, the power supply can be adjusted extremely accurately in a wider range in high-end game consoles or workstations.
In the circuit design of the power supply, ASUS uses advanced gallium nitride components to achieve higher efficiency. In order to have a better heat dissipation effect, ASUS adopts a brand new 135mm fan designed and manufactured by Axial-tech. The optimized design can achieve the best balance of airflow and noise.

The new ROG Thor Platinum II series power supply integrates ASUS’s multi-phase improvements on ROG THOR Titanium 1600W. The three models of 850W, 1000W, and 1200W are equipped with a new 135mm fan with PWM control and dual ball bearings. The OLED screen on the side adopts a new mirror design that can display the load wattage, and its RGB LED can be controlled by Aura Sync to achieve dazzling lighting effects.

Asus will officially release these products in mid-November and will provide a 10-year warranty, but the 850W model will need to wait until next year.
