The following is my personal speculation, from the PCB layout of the SSD, this product is likely to use the Phison PS5018-E18 solution, and the flash memory above looks a bit like Phison’s self-styled, this master controller can provide up to 7400MB/s continuous read speed, 7000MB/s continuous write speed. The maximum 4K random read and write IOPS can reach the level of 1000K. Of course, the actual performance depends on what kind of flash memory is used.
Asus recently announced that they will be holding a “Boundless” event on May 17, where they may announce this new SSD. With the launch of ASUS’ own brand SSD, the integrity of the ASUS family barrel machine has reached a new level. Now ASUS can provide peripherals such as motherboards, graphics cards, SSDs, integrated water cooling, chassis, power supplies, monitors, mice, keyboards, headphones, and even routers.
