Asus Introduces New Pro WS W680-ACE IPMI Workstation Motherboards
ASUS recently launched the workstation motherboard Pro WS W680-ACE IPMI. ASUS said this motherboard is specially designed for professionals in artificial intelligence, deep learning, 3D rendering, etc. After compatibility verification, it can obtain a stable and durable experience.

Pro WS W680-ACE IPMI motherboard is ATX specification, size 30.5×24.4cm, adopts Intel W680 chipset, supports the 12th and 13th generation Core, Pentium, and Celeron series desktop processors has four memory slots that support DDR5 ECC and supports a maximum capacity of 128GB. The motherboard provides two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot, two of which are directly connected to the CPU and share the PCIe 5.0 x16 bandwidth, which can be split into 8+ 8 designs.
The motherboard has three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, one of which is directly connected to the CPU; it supports a SlimSAS interface, which can be converted to up to four SATA interfaces to meet the expansion needs of professional users. The Pro WS W680-ACE IPMI motherboard also has a Thunderbolt expansion interface, allowing users to install Thunderbolt expansion cards.

In terms of rear I/O interfaces, Pro WS W680-ACE IPMI is equipped with a DP1.4 interface, an HDMI2.1 interface, a VGA interface, two USB 2.0 interfaces, four USB3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, two 2.5G network ports, five audio ports, and a BIOS update button.
ASUS includes an IPMI expansion card in the motherboard accessories, which uses the ASPEED AST2600A3-GP chip, which is a half-height design and can be installed in the PCIe X1 slot of the motherboard. In terms of interface, the expansion card has a Gigabit Ethernet port and a VGA display output interface. Through the expansion card, users can remotely manage the workstation and perform operations such as resetting or restarting the system.
