ASUS confirmed that its AIO coolers are compatible with AM5 platform

In a few months, AMD’s Zen 4 architecture processor codenamed Raphael, which is the Ryzen 7000 series, will be officially launched. The new generation of products will replace the current Zen 3 architecture Ryzen 5000 series codenamed Vermeer and enable the new AM5 socket (LGA 1718). AMD’s technical marketing director Robert Hallock has already confirmed that CPU coolers for the AM4 platform will be compatible with future AM5 platform products. The mounting hole spacing of the AM5 socket is the same as the current AM4 socket, and AMD also retains the same Z height. Generally speaking, the mounting fasteners of the AM4 platform of major radiator manufacturers are compatible.

Recently, ASUS issued an announcement confirming that its all-in-one water-cooled radiators are compatible with the AM5 platform, which means that users can upgrade and enjoy the AM5 platform processor without purchasing a new water-cooled radiator. Asus says that the ROG Ryujin/Ryuo/Strix LC series requires the use of the AM5 mount kit, while the TUF Gaming LC series can use the existing mount kit.

A list of compatible ASUS coolers is provided in the table below.
