ASRock released WRX80 Creator motherboard

ASRock announced the launch of the WRX80 Creator motherboard. This is a product for AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5000 series processors in E-ATX specification.

The WRX80 Creator features a 14-layer server-grade PCB, 8-phase power supply, 105A SPS, and advanced inductors, covered with heat pipes and aluminum alloy heatsinks. It supports eight-channel DDR4 memory slots, can support 4533+MHz (OC) frequency, and has a maximum capacity of 2TB; provides seven PCIe 4.0 x16 slots, five of which can run at x16 full speed, realizing x16/x16/x16/NC/x16/NC/x16 or x16/x16/x8/x8/x8/x8/x16 allocation scheme, support four-way CrossFireX. It provides one M.2 slot (PCIe 4.0 x4 or SATA III) supporting the 22110 specification, one M.2 slot (PCIe 4.0 x4) supporting the 2280 specification, eight SATA III ports, and one U.2 port.

The WRX80 Creator motherboard is equipped with five USB 3.2 Gen2 ports (front 1 + rear 4), six USB 3.2 Gen1 ports (front 4 + rear 2), two USB 4.0/Thunderbolt 4 ports, two mini-DisplayPort input ports, Two 10G LAN ports, one IPMI port, two antenna ports to support Wi-Fi 6E modules, one optical fiber port and a set of audio ports. This motherboard uses Realtek ALC4050H+ALC1220 in audio and supports 600-Ohm headphones through Texas Instruments NE5532. In addition, Aspeed AST2500 is also onboard, which provides a VGA interface.

Obviously, the configuration and price of the WRX80 Creator motherboard are not for ordinary users, but for workstation users or enthusiasts. Although ASRock did not provide specific pricing, some time ago, this motherboard appeared on e-commerce platforms, showing a price of $899.99.
