ASRock and Razer will launch Z690 co-branded motherboard

ASRock recently launched a series of Z690 motherboards equipped with Intel’s 12th-generation Core series processors, and more models will follow, such as the new Z690 Taichi Razer Edition discovered by Twitter user @momomo_us. In fact, at the end of last year, ASRock and Razer launched the joint B550 Taichi Razer Edition and X570 Taichi Razer Edition, which have all the features and functions of the flagship platform provided by ASRock for AMD’s AM4 CPU. This time ASRock chose Intel’s new Alder Lake platform to launch the new Taichi Razer Edition motherboard. This is the third time the two parties have joined forces and the first Taichi Razer Edition motherboard based on the Intel platform.

This time the Z690 Taichi Razer Edition is very similar to the recently released Z690 Taichi in all aspects. The difference lies in the introduction of Razer-style design, the appearance of the motherboard cooling system has been modified, and it has been integrated into the Razer Chroma ecological series.

If nothing happens, Z690 Taichi Razer Edition will be equipped with a 20-phase Dr.MOS power supply, support the latest SPS (Smart Power Stage) technology, eight-layer PCB board, and support DDR5-6400+, XMP 3.0, and four memory slots up to 128GB memory, equipped with three PCIe x16 and one PCIe x1 slots, provides six SATA3 ports, three M.2 slots, one HDMI 2.1 port, 2.5Gb Killer network card, Wi-Fi support -Fi 6E, and Bluetooth connection.

Z690 Taichi Razer Edition is based on Realtek’s ALC1220 audio solution, supports 7.1 channels, and is also equipped with ESS Sabre ES9218 DAC, gold-plated audio jack, and S/PDIF optical output. The motherboard also provides two rear USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. In addition, there are two USB 2.0, one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, two USB 3.1 Gen 1, and one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C expansion interface that can be used on the front panel.
