Apple’s new wireless charger has a maximum power of 15W
Apple launched the iPhone 12 and the new wireless charger MagSafe at the press conference yesterday, which can provide up to 15W charging power.
According to Apple‘s instructions, the power of the wireless charger was low because of the alignment problem of the coil of the wireless charger. The new wireless charger is magnetically aligned so that the power can be effectively increased.
The MagSafe wireless charger itself is also optimized on the basis of the Qi wireless charger, mainly to improve the shielding and the performance of various sensors to identify specific devices.
However, the Qi wireless charger is still limited to 7.5W charging power, even if the user manually calibrates the coil position each time the power cannot be improved.
Therefore, users who are pursuing charging speed may also need to purchase a MagSafe charger for $39, and the power of third-party wireless chargers will also be limited.
