Apple will release AR glasses in the first half of 2022

We previously reported that Apple may launch its first consumer-oriented AR glasses at the end of this year, but as 2020 approaches the end, this news has disappeared from the Internet.

Recently, Ross Young, the founder, and analyst of Display Search said that the glasses will not be available at the end of this year. Ross Young posted that these AR glasses will use Sony’s micro OLED array-driven optical elements for projection, with a resolution of 1280×960, and will go on sale in the first half of 2022, with more than a year to go.

Rumors of Apple wanting to get involved in the VR/AR field are not uncommon. However, as the mobile phone market shrinks, it is estimated that Apple will switch the track as soon as possible and enter VR/AR.

Apple plans to release Apple Glass in the fourth quarter of 2021 or the first quarter of 2022.
