Apple Watch Series 7 will have big appearance changes

Apple usually holds a special event for new products in mid-September. Needless to say, Apple will introduce the new generation of iPhone naturally, and the new generation of Apple Watch, and this time Apple’s new watch may usher in a major upgrade. It is expected that the name Apple Watch Series 7 will usher in appearance changes.

The current Apple Watch Series 6’s design has been the appearance since Series 4, and after three generations, it’s time for a big change. According to the latest news from Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, Series 7 will have “a flatter display and edges” which is the appearance style of the iPhone 12 series today, which is greatly different from the design of the current model. Apple seems to be preparing to unify the design styles of the Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPad.

The display is said to be slightly larger than the current panels found in Series 6, and the cases’ sizes will also be a little bigger than before. There is not much new in other aspects. Series 7 will be equipped with a faster CPU, but no additional health monitoring hardware will be added this year. It is still mainly heart rate sensor and ECG, but some health functions will be strengthened in software. It is said that Apple will not add a new body-temperature sensor to Apple Watch until 2022.
