Apple responds to Earth Day by donating to WWF from Apple Pay transactions
Apple said that WWF has been committed to nature conservation for the past 60 years, continues to use advanced environmental conservation technology, and works with many partners to reduce the risk of wildlife facing survival crises. This year, in response to the Earth Day event, from now on, for any consumer transaction through Apple Pay in the Apple Store app and Apple’s official website, Apple will donate $1 to the WWF as a donation.
In addition, Apple also announced that during Earth Day on April 22, you can get a special badge in the Health app if you wear an Apple Watch for any exercise for more than 30 minutes.
Prior to this, Apple also stated that it has assisted more than 200 supply chains to fully convert to renewable energy operations, and imported a total of about 10 million watts of clean energy. At the same time, the reduction of greenhouse gas emission reductions promoted by the current plan is equivalent to the combined carbon emission reduction of 3 million cars on the road, Apple also plans to enable all its supply chain operations to achieve the same carbon neutrality goal as its own global operating units.
