Apple releases macOS Mojave 10.14.1 third developer beta
Nearly a week after the release of the second beta, Apple today released the third beta of the macOS 10.14.1 system to developers. The new beta includes support for FaceTime group chat and other improvements. Apple introduced some new features in the macOS Mojave system, including dark mode at the system level and so on.
The improved Mac App Store is easier than ever to find great apps. The enhanced Finder window has a gallery view, sidebars, quick finds, and immediate actions to make operations and editing more accessible, while desktop stacking organises all the files on the desktop.
Most Mac computers since 2012 can be upgraded to the macOS Mojave system. Apple is expected to resolve the bug originally reported by macOS Mojave in macOS 10.14.1 and introduce FaceTime Group Chat support after testing.
FaceTime Group Chat supports video and audio calls between up to 32 contacts. This feature was originally announced at the WWDC in June but was removed from the iOS 12 beta and macOS Mojave beta before the September release. However, Apple has said that FaceTime Group Chat will be launched before the end of this year. The re-support of this feature in macOS 10.14.1 beta and iOS 12.1 beta suggests that we may see it soon.
