Apple released macOS Catalina fourth beta

In addition to iOS 12.4 Dev Beta 7, Apple also pushed the fourth beta update of the macOS Catalina system to developers in the early morning, two weeks from the previous update. Developers participating in the test can get the latest pushes through the software update option in the macOS Catalina’s System Preferences app. Because it is a beta version, Apple does not recommend users to use the daily main equipment installation.

macOS Catalina removed the iTunes app and split it into music, podcasts and TV apps. The music and podcast app is already enabled, and the TV app will be available later this year when the Apple TV+ service is launched. Through the new “Catalyst” project, Apple helps and encourages developers to port their great iPad apps to the Mac platform.

With the Sidecar feature, users can also extend Mac’s workspace by using the iPad as the second display on the Mac. The Sidecar feature also supports Apple Pencil, for example, you can use the Apple Pencil to manipulate the illustrator app on your Mac on the iPad. macOS Catalina will also bring a host of new features, such as a newly designed photo app, reminder app and memo app, and a faster Safari browser.

macOS Catalina will be officially released this fall, and there should be 2 to 3 beta updates before the release.
