Apple may not plan to launch a new 14/16-inch MacBook Pro this year
Apple recently launched a new iPad Pro equipped with an M2 chip, as well as a brand new 10th-generation iPad. It seems that this year’s new product task has been completed because, in previous years, Apple will update the Mac computer product line in October. But this year is approaching November, and there has been no news. The latest news says that Apple does not plan to launch a new MacBook Pro this year, and will update it in March next year.
In June of this year, Apple launched a new generation of M2 chips, which are used in the new 13-inch MacBook Pro and the new MacBook Air, according to normal thinking, Apple will then replace the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with new chips. But according to a new report from Mark Gurman, Apple won’t update the two high-end laptops until early March next year. Another well-known Apple product whistleblower, Ming-Chi Kuo, also gave a similar statement that Apple will not have a new MacBook Pro until early next year.
In fact, in Apple’s recent company investor meeting, it was expressed that there will be a decline in revenue in the next fiscal quarter, which is likely to be affected by the non-launch of the MacBook Pro. Of course, from the global economic environment, chip and supply chain capacity, and other aspects this year, there are still many reasons for Apple not to launch new products. Moreover, the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros have been greatly replaced last year. Judging from the iPad Pro updated this year, even if they are updated, Apple may just change the new M2 Pro, and other functions and appearance design will not change much.
