Apple may introduce new AirPods Max 2 next year

Apple released AirPods Max at the end of 2020 with five color options, namely space gray, silver, sky blue, green, and pink. This is Apple’s first over-ear wireless headset, which once again broadens the AirPods product line. However, Apple’s high-end product line has not been updated since then, and it has been more than two years.

Recently, well-known analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple’s next important acoustic product update time is in the second half of 2024, and it may also be in early 2025. Apple has prepared three products, including AirPods Max 2, HomePod mini 2, and AirPods low-cost version.

Although the release time of these new products was mentioned, there was no mention of any functional changes. It is understood that AirPods Max 2 should switch to a USB-C interface, improve its custom acoustic design, may have longer battery life, be equipped with a new chip, provide better sound quality, and there will be new color options.

AirPods Max combines custom acoustic design, the H1 chip, and advanced software to drive computational audio with an adaptive equalizer, active noise cancellation, transparency mode, and spatial audio for a breakthrough listening experience. It also supports powerful active noise reduction capabilities. There are Apple H1 chips in both earmuffs. It is also equipped with a total of up to nine microphones, eight of which are used for active noise reduction, including six outward-facing, two inward-facing, and three for voice pickup, including one dedicated and two dual-purpose active noise reduction. With the digital knob, you can precisely adjust the volume, skip tracks, answer calls, and even activate Siri.
