Apple may debut Mixed Reality headset at this year’s WWDC

The story that Apple is going to launch an AR/VR headset has been circulating for many years. After Microsoft, HTC, and Facebook have done a lot of work, I haven’t seen any actual products from Apple, but this year this rumor seems to be coming true. According to the latest news, Apple AR/VR headset is expected to be unveiled at this year’s WWDC.

Apple product whistleblower Mark Gurman said that Apple’s AR/VR headset was originally scheduled to be released this spring, but there are still some hardware and software issues that need to be resolved, so Apple chose to postpone it until this year’s WWDC. However, the official launch will not be until the end of this year. WWDC just allows everyone to take a look in advance, which is similar to Google’s practice of announcing new AR devices at I/O last year.

Apple’s WWDC in previous years was held in early June, with the release of new operating systems and new software development as the main content, but it will also release hardware such as the new iPad and Mac, and it is expected to bring a new Mac Pro workstation computer this year. If this AR/VR headset really exists, it is likely to appear as Apple’s traditional “one more thing”.
