Apple launches MagSafe Battery Pack capacity 1460 mAh priced at $99

Apple recently launched a long-rumored MagSafe Battery Pack on its official website. As early as the beginning of the year, there was news that Apple was developing a magnetic battery that is more convenient to charge.

This magnetic battery can be directly attached to the back of the iPhone 12 series models, and then provide power to the iPhone 12 series through the wireless charging function.

As for the battery capacity, it is very low. The battery capacity is 1460 mAh (7.62V/11.13Wh) and can provide a temporary charging function.

Although the capacity is much worse than the ordinary power bank, the advantage is that it is small in size and light in weight and does not require a data cable.

At present, Apple supports a lot of wireless charging devices, but before the release of the MagSafe Battery Pack, Apple has not provided reverse charging for these devices.

According to Apple, this external battery can be charged using a data cable, or it can be directly attached to the back of the iPhone 12 series and then reversely charged.

During reverse charging, Apple will first charge the iPhone 12 series to more than 80%, and then begin to use the reverse charging function to charge this external battery.

Of course, the charging efficiency of this method may be relatively low, or hot problems may occur. If possible, it is recommended that users directly use the data cable to charge the battery.

This external battery cannot provide a complete charge for iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max models due to its low capacity.

However, the low battery capacity of the iPhone 12 Mini can provide a full charge with an external battery, and it is also a convenient accessory for temporary outings.
