Apple is inviting more beta testers to use in the iOS 15

Apple is currently inviting more users to participate in the public testing of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS 12, watchOS 8, and tvOS 15.

These preview versions have been upgraded by some users since the public beta last month, but in terms of actual experience, these new versions do not have particularly outstanding new features.

This may result in fewer users participating in the test, which will allow Apple to invite more users to participate in the test through emails and other methods in order to collect feedback and usage data.

iOS 15 supported device

If you want to upgrade these preview versions is actually very easy, just install the corresponding description file and restart the device to receive the latest preview version push.

Because it is currently in the public beta phase and therefore does not require a developer account, in theory, iPhone 6s+ users can upgrade to the latest version through the description file.

However, we here also remind you to be cautious about upgrading. Except for no new features that are particularly worthy of attention, the stability of these new versions is currently relatively poor.

In addition, it should be emphasized that the backup data cannot be used directly after the cross-version upgrade. For example, the backup data of the iOS 15 version cannot be restored to the iOS 14 system.

So if you want to upgrade, remember to back up the entire system with iTunes in advance, so that you can use data recovery if you need to roll back.

Of course, the newly generated data cannot be restored when rolling back from the new version after the upgrade, so it is recommended to wait for the official version next month unless necessary.

As usual, Apple will hold a new product launch event in the fall in late September and launch a new version of iOS at the same time, so iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 will be officially released soon.
