Apple is developing a more rugged and durable Apple Watch for outdoor sports enthusiasts

Sources familiar with the matter told Bloomberg that Apple executives have discussed the possibility of launching an enhanced version of Apple Watch as early as the end of this year, or 2022, and this is not the first time the company has considered this idea. And, according to reports, as early as 2015, Apple planned to launch a special Apple Watch specifically for extreme sports athletes.
