It seems that this year’s WWDC event, iMessage will be the main focus, and it also indicates that this instant messaging product of Apple is likely to usher in a major update.
In terms of user experience, at least on iPhone and iPad, the current iMessage is already quite easy to use. It also works seamlessly with various functions in the system and third-party applications and supports end-to-end encryption to ensure the security of information transmission. So what other upgrades can it have?
At present, the most popular instant messaging applications in the world include Facebook’s WhatsApp and Messenger, Telegram support the cross-platform. In contrast, iMessage is slightly inferior to these competitors in terms of functions and platform support.
On the other hand, Apple is gradually extending its services to other platforms, such as Apple Music and Apple TV applications launched on Android devices. If Apple wants to attract more users for iMessage, multi-platform support may also be an essential part. After all, people who use iPhone may not all use Mac.
