Apple developed an iCloud Passwords extension for Google Chrome

Apple has always only provided good support for its own ecosystems, such as Safari browser, iCloud cloud storage, iTunes player, and other software.

The Safari browser for Windows stopped supporting many years ago, and iTunes later released the Windows 10 version for users.

Apple is unlikely to develop software for competitors, but the user never expected that Apple would develop an iCloud Passwords extension for Google Chrome.

After the new version of iCloud launched by Apple is installed on the Windows platform, the iCloud Passwords extension download will pop up.

The main purpose of this extension is to log in to the Apple account and then synchronize the saved password with the iOS KeyChain on Google Chrome.

For example, the password saved by the user in the iOS keychain can be automatically filled in Google browser, so that data can be synchronized well without using the Safari browser.

Of course, it is also possible that this extension also supports the synchronization of the passwords saved in Google Chrome to Apple, and then these passwords can be used on iOS.

It’s just that the extension has not yet been officially launched and it’s not clear which features are supported, but it’s surprising that Apple is developing such extensions for Google Chrome.
